By combining the expertise, we have cultivated and the rich history of Tamba, we have given birth to a new whisky.

Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a picturesque region where the grandeur of nature blends with history. The significant temperature variations that give rise to Tamba’s characteristic fog, combined with the region’s bountiful land, contribute to the growth of high-quality crops. Notably, black soybeans, adzuki beans, and chestnuts are highly renowned, and the use of abundant and pristine water helps cultivate excellent sake rice.
The various expressions of the four seasons, which served as the inspiration for the name of Shiki-Tamba Distillery, such as the Nine-foot Wisteria at Byakugoji Temple and Kawashiro Valley, are also a hallmark of the Tamba region.
Furthermore, Tamba City boasts a rich historical background, with numerous archaeological sites and temples. It is also the birthplace of Kasuga no Tsubone, who gained fame through a major historical drama. In 2015, dinosaur fossils were discovered here, making it an area of significant historical and academic interest.
