Features of the Location

The head office and manufacturing site is located Takacho Town, Taka-gun, Hyogo Prefecture. It is adjacent to the northwest of Nishiwaki City, which is known for the navel of Japan, and is also the origin of the best rice wine in Japan- Yamada Nishiki. Takacho Town is surrounded by nature (Mt. Mikuni, Mt. Sengamine, Mt. Myoken, Mt. Kasagata, Mt. Taketani, etc.). In which, Mt. Mikuni is the source of Sugihara River, that flows through Kami area, and central of Naka area. Mt. Kasagata is the source of Noma River, which flows through central of Yachiyo area. The part that runs through the central part of Yachiyo area all the way to southern part of Nishiwaki City. Eventually it joins the longest river Kako River and the Seto Inland Sea.

In addition, it is said to be one of the “Harima Famous Water”, established by Yoshimura Akamatsu, who ruled the country of Harima at the end of the Muromachi Period. The spring water is also known as “Matsukai no Mizu” (Matsukai’s Water) which was selected as one of the 100 best waters by Heisei of the Ministry of the Environment selection. It has the legend that people who could not move their body when crossing mountains recovered from drinking this water.

The nearest mountain is Mt. Taketani, which is one of the 100 best sightseeing in Hyogo. The mountain has various waterfalls, large or small, in it. Despite the influence Setouchi Climate, which gives it steady climate in general, the influence of the inland climate as a back area of the Chugoku Mountains gives relatively large difference in temperature change.
